Note: Before we sell a BLST-2 there are certain adjustments that we make to the machine. We make these adjustments to ensure the machine will work well no matter what kind of thread or material you will be using. Our company has been selling blind hemmers for over 50 years, and although these adjustments are not necessary, they will make the machine perform better and last longer.

• Replace needles: The brand of needles the machine comes with are inexpensive and bend easily. We replace them with a higher quality needle.

• Adjust the Needle Stroke: We increase the distance the needle will travel to ensure your machine will not skip on heavier weight materials.

• Adjust Feed Dog Height and Timing: The feed timing is slightly off on all brand new BLST-2. And you probably wouldn’t notice a problem with it until you started sewing very lightweight material. We also reset the feed dog height to help reduce puckering.

• Change Motor Belt Tension: The motor belt tension is too tight on all new BLST-2 machines. We reduce the tension to increase the speed of the machine and to reduce the amount of strain put on the motor.
